Structure of protein : Why it’s benificial for human body

Last Updated on 2 years by Dr Munna Lal Bhartiya

proteins

proteins are large and Complex molecules they are made up of Amino acids they play many role functions in human body including serving has enzymes structural components and molecules.

structure of protein

proteins have a complex 3D dimensional structure that is made up of Amino acids and they formed proteins

There Are four Different Types Of Structure

Primary Structure

In this structure protein have a linear sequence of amino acids they are 20 different types of amino acids and each attached by different side of chain arrangement and order of amino acids determine the function of protein

Secondary Structure

in this structure proteins refers to the folding of the proteins into localized. Secondary structure of proteins is made up from its primary structure and involves the shape and stability of the set of Twin bonds between the protein molecules

Alpha helix – the most common form of secondary structure of protein it has a flexible group of protein

Beta Pleats – the shape and gradient of the group of molecule are arranged

Tertiary structure of proteins

This structure is defined the largest level of protein which links the domain of the molecules together this confirmation is determined by the intermolecular interaction between the pair molecule this structure is also called fold proteins..

Tertiary structure is determined the shape size and dimensions of the proteins it contain different type of bonds between protein molecules, amide bonds, disulfide bonds and ionic bonds etc.

Quartenary Structure Of Protein

This is the maximum level of structure in proteins that can be formed to or more molecules this structure is due to the bonds or interaction that are formed between the molecules of different level of a protein. ” this structure is formed by two or more molecules”.

why it’s beneficial for human body

Proteins play a important role in human body. They are main important molecules involved in many biological process including catalyzes and control gene expression and diseases resistance. Proteins are important formation of tissues and organs in the body.

Proteins provide structural support like cells, tissues and organs which is essential for shape and stability protein such as a collogen and are found in the skin bones.

Without protein human body like this

The formation of tissues and organs become difficult and the body may have improper structure

Weakness of the body which make it easy to absorb diseases.

Drop in the energy level which leads to decrease in physical activities.

Reduction in the formation of cells such as problems of Nails and skin
